History Gallery

This gallery concentrates on Dover’s history from 1066 to the present day and features six large-scale models of Dover from 1450 to the present day. Included in this gallery are artefacts from the Tudor, Victorian and W.W.2 periods.

The Dover Bronze Age Boat Gallery

IMG_0141This award winning gallery is one of the finest archaeological galleries in the country and home to the world’s oldest known sea-going boat. This hands-on gallery uses artefacts, replicas, models, illustrated panels, computer interactives, microscopes and hands-on exhibits to bring the Bronze Age to life.
